Day 1: Cochin - Alapuzzha - Kumarakom
Overnight stay at Coconut Lagoon
Arrive at the Kochi Airport. Our representative will escort you on a relaxing drive (1 hour, 50 km distance) to Alapuzzha famously known as a the Venice of East for obvious reasons. Its backwaters, a crystal maze of canals, rivulets, lakes, and lagoons, take your breath away with its sheer earthly beauty.
On arrival, climb aboard the traditional houseboat and drift through the backwaters of Kerala that are as timeless as the coconut groves and small Kerala villages that flank them on both sides. After siesta, tea and snacks is served as you cruise past paddy fields, duck farms, mussel divers, Mangalam, Chithira, R-block and C block. En route, check out the St. Mary's Church at Champakulam. As you enter Kumarakom, set of the eastern shore of the spectacular Vembanad Lake and made of tiny islets, visit the bird sanctuary and check in at the hotel Coconut Lagoon for dinner and overnight stay in Kumarakom.
Day 2: Kumarakom - Thekkady
Overnight stay at Spice Village
After an early morning breakfast, drive to Periyar National Park (4-hour journey, 175 km). En route, enjoy the scenic countryside - gentle hill slopes, spice plantations, traditional quaint villages, ancient churches, waterfalls and green meadows. On arrival in Thekkady, gateway to Periyar National Park famous of its sandalwoods, elephants and tigers, check in at the Spice Village, refresh and proceed for a boat safari to the National Park. Later in the evening check out the spice markets on a walk. Return to the luxury hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Periyar.
Day 3: Thekkady - Kochi (Cochin)
Overnight stay at Taj Malabar
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Kochi on a 4 hour journey (175 km distance from Thekkady). On arrival, check in at the exotic Taj Malabar, refresh and relax over the afternoon. Later in the evening, take a sunset cruise on the famous Kochi Harbor to watch the dolphins, Bolghatty Palace and the Chinese fishing nets typical to the region. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Kochi.
Day 4: Departure from Kochi
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for a half day sightseeing Tours of Kochi. Visit Breakfast will be at hotel. Visit Fort Cochin, Vasco Da Gama Square, Santa Cruz Basilica, St. Francis Church, VOC Gate, Bastion Bungalow, Jewish Synagogue, and Mattancherry Palace. Later in the day, transfer to the international airport for a flight back home or to your onward destination.
